2019: ‘Imalian Boy’ eyes Ogun assembly seat for Abeokuta North

NIGERIA: POPULAR artiste and talented poet, Gbenga Adebayo-Oladunni, popularly called Imalian Boy, has commenced plans to contest in the 2019 general election.
GatewayMail gathered that Adebayo-Oladunni, who is from Imala, Oke-Ogun in Abeokuta North Local
Government area of Ogun State, is eyeing the only seat available for his local government in the state House of Assembly.
According to sources, should the artiste contest in the coming election that would be his third attempt to represent his people as a lawmaker.
He could not go far in his two previous attempts as he never secured the party’s nomination ticket to contest in the general election.
While confirming his next political move, Adebayo-Oladunni, said that he had concluded plans to contest for the House of Assembly to represent the people of Abeokuta North Local Government.
“This is to officially inform you of my intention to contest for the Ogun State Assembly seat come 2019,” the renowned artiste told GatewayMail.
He added: “I did in 2011 no ticket. 2015, no ticket,” Adebayo-Oladunni said, adding: “I will not relent until I get the ticket to win general election monsha Allah in 2019.”
Imalian Boy further said that he would be contesting on the platform of the Accord Party (AP).
“Gbenga Adebayo- Oladunni for Ogun State House Assembly seat come 2019 in Abeokuta North State Constituency, under the platform of Accord Party, which oneness and progress is the slogan,” the artiste, who holds a Master’s degree in Professional Ethics from the University of Ibadan, after his broadcast journalism major at the Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta, stressed.

I believe Imalian boy as he is popularly called has what it takes to win the state assembly seat. He is a true representation of the people of oke ogun. He’s is also a dedicated young man who has contributed to his community in his own little way. I think we should all support him in th new party Accord bcos we need fresh faces in our politics in ogun state come 2019
