Amosun loses aides within four days

NIGERIA: WITHIN interval of four days, the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has lost two of his aides.
GatewayMail gathered that the first security aide, Wale Aderemi, who was an official of the Department of State Services (DSS) and attached to the governor’s convoy, died at a hospital in Abeokuta after a brief illness.
It was learnt that Aderemi, an indigene of Ekiti State, complained of typhoid and was later treated at the hospital, but died few days after he was discharged.
According to reliable source, the DSS official was alleged to have slumped in the toilet of his apartment and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A reliable source stated that his remains had being transported to his home town in Ekiti for burial.
Similarly, the second victim, Busoye Olayinka, died in an auto crash on Thursday night in Itori axis of Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway.
Olayinka, who was an Assistant Superintendent of Police, and often called ‘Robot,’ was said to be traveling with his younger brother whose name remained unknown at the time of filling this report when both died.
An eyewitness stated that Olayinka’s ash-coloured Nissan Premira with registration number, Lagos PH 406 KJA crashed into a truck with registration number Kwara LEM 77 XA along the expressway.
The eyewitness further said that the truck was reversing from the compound of Dolphin Steel Nigeria Limited into the highway when Olayinka’s vehicle rammed into it.
The Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command, Mr. Clement Oladele, confirmed the incident.
Oladele explained that the corpses of the two victims had been taken to the General Hospital in Ifo.
