CP warns criminals to steer clear of Ogun territories

NIGERIA:  THE police command in Ogun State Police on Sunday promised to deal with criminal persons within the ember months in the state and its environs.

The Commissioner, Mr. Ahmed Iliyasu, told journalists at his Government Reservation Area, Abeokuta residence where he hosted some guests as part of Ileya festival.

Iliyasu stated that criminals who carry out their nefarious activities in the state are only working towards their early graves as the command would continue to launch deadly attack on them.

“I can assure you that this command is to commence fumigation of criminals in the state and environs,” he said, adding: “The fumigation would be more visible during the ember months.”

He advised the criminals and criminally minded one to have a second thought and retraced their steps, if they don’t want to be consumed during the exercise.

While appreciating the role of media in collaborating with the command to fight crimes and criminals‎, Iliyasu said that the authorities would use all available resources to curb the menace.

The Commissioner urged well-meaning residents to support the command by providing necessary information about criminals and their hideouts.

He, however, assured that the identities of informants shall be adequately protected.
