Amosun promises increased subvention for TASUED

NIGERIA: OGUN State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has promised to increase the monthly subvention of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode.

A member of the university Governing Council (GC), Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye, made this known on his Facebook.

Besides, Oladunjoye, a one-time Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, said that Amosun government also promised to partner and fund the agricultural expansion project of the university.

According to him, the Governor made the promise while receiving the team from the university that paid him visited him at his Okemosan Governor’s Office, Abeokuta.

Oladunjoye said: “Yesterday, in the afternoon, I led a delegation of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), to a meeting with the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, CON, FCA, in his office at Abeokuta, Ogun State.”

“At the end of the meeting which lasted for about 45 minutes, the governor agreed to increase the monthly subvention to the university and also promised to partner and fund the agricultural expansion project of TASUED,” the GC member added.

“The Governor, later met the management of Olabisi Onabanjo University of Education (OOU), and also agreed to increase the monthly subvention of OOU,” Oladunjoye also said.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof.  Oluyemi Obilade, led the members of the management team who visited the Governor.
