Unilorin SSANU new chairman assures members

NIGERIA: THE newly elected Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU),
University of Ilorin Branch, Comrade Akanbi Mohammed Jimoh, has given ray of hope to members of the association.
Jimoh, who defeated three others in a recent election, assured members of adequate care on their welfare, which his leadership will give utmost priority.
He gave the pledge in his acceptance speech after the swearing in of the newly elected officers of the association.
Jimoh, in a new release signed by the newly elected Public Relations Officer of SSANU, Comrade Alabi Oluwasegun Timothy, urged all those who participated in the election to shun partisan politics and be ready to work with his administration, which he promised to operate an open door policy.
Others elected alongside Jimoh are Comrade Oyedepo Oluwamayowa Joseph (Vice-Chairman), Comrade Hussain Abdullateef Dasola (Secretary), Comrade Saheed Tunde Mohammed (Assistant Secretary), Comrade Olaniyan Abdulganiyu (Treasurer) and Comrade Oyedepo Sunday Olaitan (Financial Secretary).
Also in the new executive are Comrade Alabi Oluwasegun Timothy (Public Relations Officer), Comrade Akande Isaac Okunlola (Trustee), Comrade Adetona Olusola (Ex-Officio), and Comrade Adi Hajarat Azumi (Women Leader).
Earlier in his speech, the National Vice-President/Chairman, Western Zone of SSANU, Comrade Alfred I. Jimoh, who praised the good conduct of Unilorin SSANU members before, during and after the election, appealed to the winners to be magnanimous in victory as only one party contested the election which was SSANU.
High point of the event was the presentation of Certificates of Return to the officers by the Chairman, Electoral Committee, Mr. Joseph F. Olafare and the National Vice-President/Chairman.
