US: THE Department of State has expressed joy in US participation in this year’s
Bilateral Forum on Higher Education, Innovation, and Research Roundtable with Mexico.
“The Bilateral Forum – often known by its acronym in Spanish “FOBESII” – is an excellent example of how public-private partnerships can promote education and research to stimulate innovation and support economic prosperity in both countries,” the Office of the Spokesperson, Washington, DC, said.
“This year’s roundtable is hosted by the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C,” it stressed in a news release made available to GatewayMail newspaper.
According to the Department, the Speakers at this year’s roundtable include US Ambassador to Mexico Roberta Jacobson (via a recorded video message) and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs Mara Tekach from the U.S. government, and Ambassador of Mexico to the United States Geronimo Gutierrez from the Mexican government.
“Participants include representatives from private industry, academic institutions, U.S. and Mexican government officials, and nongovernmental organizations from both sides of the border,” the Department explained.
It further said: “Although the event is closed to the press, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars will release a publicly available report summarizing the results and recommendations from the roundtable.”
