NIGERIA: OGUN State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, will Tuesday present the 2017 Appropriation Bill to the House of Assembly for consideration and passage.

The presentation came on the heels of calls for Amosun administration’s support by the Speaker, Suraju Adekunbi, and the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa, over the weekend in Ayetoro.

The presentation of the budget proposal is in line with Section 121 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, (as amended), the Assembly’s Information Officer, Pese Jamiu, said in a news release made available to GatewayMail on Monday.

The Appropriation Bill, which is the second since assumption of office in the second term of the Amosun led-administration, according to the release, would take place at the Assembly Complex by 10 am.
It urged all stakeholders, guests and other government functionaries, expected at the event, to be seated by 9.30 am.
Meanwhile, the government has disclosed its plan to immediately commence the construction of rural roads in line with the demand of the people to further develop the rural areas in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
The Speaker, House of Assembly, Suraj Adekunbi, and the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa, gave the assurance at the 2016 edition of the Ayetoro-Yewa Day.

They assured that the construction of the rural roads was in line with government development agenda, adding that the Olodo-Ayetoro Rounder Road would be part of the roads to enjoy priority soon.
The duo explained that government would continue to strive within the limited resources to provide more infrastructural projects to meet the yearnings of the people.
Adeoluwa and Adekunbi, therefore, urged the people to continue to support government in its efforts to deliver dividends of democracy to them.
The Head of Service, Elder Sola Adeyemi, who also spoke at the event, pleaded with the people, particularly the indigenes of Ayetoro, to come home and develop their communities.

Adeyemi praised the organisers of last year Ayetoro-Yewa Day for ensuring that the fund generated was judiciously used to construct magistrate court and other structures for the benefit of the people.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Day, Kunle Amosun, had earlier said that the occasion was a gathering for sons and daughters of Ayetoro to celebrate their rich culture and tradition.

Amosun urged his people to continue to contribute their quota to the development of the town and the state.
He commended the government on its impact on Ayetoro, while stressing that the administration since inception had raised the profile of the community through feasible developmental projects‎.
