Ogun sacks Vigilance Service deputy boss

NIGERIA: OGUN State Government has dismissed the state Deputy Commander of Vigilante Service, Mr. Adedoyin Olanrewaju, for acts of disloyalty.

Olanrewaju was also accused of indiscipline and disrespect to constituted authority in the state.

‎The government said in a statement signed on Wednesday by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Abayomi Sobande, that the sack took immediate effect.

“Mr. Olanrewaju was dismissed due to various acts of disloyalty, indiscipline as well as disrespect to constituted authority,” the statement stated.

In addition, the government urged the public to desist from engaging in any official transaction with Olanrewaju.
