NIGERIA: ACE artiste, Mr. Bolaji Amusan, often called ‘Mr. Latin’, has denied media report that he was attacked and injured by armed robbers on his way to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Thursday.

Amusan, who is the founder of Mr. Latin Foundation, also debunked claim that he was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

The popular Nollywood actor confirmed on a popular chat network, Penpushing, that it was true that armed robbers operated at the time he was travelling to Ibadan, but he escaped unhurt.

According to him, he alongside “so many people” ran into the robbery operation along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, but fled into the nearby bush unhurt.

“I was not robbed, I ran into the armed robbers and escaped into the bush with so many people,” Amusan said.

“Am hale and healthy and nothing was removed from my car,” the ace artiste said, adding: “My phone and everything was with me and am presently in location at Ibadan.”

Some few hours ago, the news hit the internet that Amusan was waylaid by the bandits on Thursday and narrowly escaped death by the whiskers during the attack, but badly injured.

According to the false news, the ace actor was attacked at a location close to the Guru Maharaji camp near Ibadan end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Amusan, the report further added, was alleged to have been robbed of his cellphone, undisclosed amount of money and other valuable materials with him at the time of the raid.

The report claimed that Mr. Latin, who was going to the Oyo State capital to attend a radio programme on Fresh FM, could not participate as he was rushed to the hospital for treatment over injuries sustained during the attack.
