AIG Ali appoints ex-Ogun PPRO, Adejobi, as Zone II spokesperson

NIGERIA: THE newly promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, Abudulmajid Ali, has appointed the erstwhile Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Police Command, Muyiwa Adejobi, as his spokesperson.
Adejobi, who was recently promoted to the Superintendent of Police, served in the Ogun Command under Ali, who is the immediate past Police Commissioner.
The new Zonal Public Relations Officer, who is the longest Ogun Command PPRO between 2008 and July 2016, is to coordinate the image making of the zone, which covers Ogun and Lagos States.
The appointment of Adejobi was contained in a signal signed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Zone 2 and dated August 2, 2016.
The appointment takes immediate effect, the signal explained.
Adejobi, a prince, was born in Ile-Ife to the family of the late Oba Moses Olayioye Adejobi and Olori Mary Olaitan Adejobi of Orile Owu in Ayedaade Local Government Area of the State of Osun.
The Zonal PPRO obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Archaeology and Geography (Combined Hons) in 2001 from the University of Ibadan where he also bagged his Master of Arts (MA) degree in Peace and Conflict Studies in 2004.
He thereafter enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) on 1st February, 2005.
Adejobi, who is member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Institute of Chartered Administrator of Nigeria, among others, has won many local and international awards, which included the Best PPRO in Nigeria and in West Africa in 2013 and 2014 respectively from the Security Watch Africa.
