Police rescue kidnapped Babcock University grad

NIGERIA: A 27-YEAR-OLD graduate of the Babcock University, Ilishan Remo in Ogun State, Justina Anochie, has been rescued from kidnappers by the Ogun State Police Command.
The policemen attached to Odogbolu Division of the command, who found the victim after she had been released by the kidnappers in Odogbolu, handed her over to the Divisional Police Officer in Ikenne Division whose jurisdiction falls within where the lady was kidnapped.
Earlier, the command had put in place measures to free her immediately her kidnapping was reported to the Ikenne Division, the Command police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, a Superintendent of Police, said.
He added that an unnamed suspect was arrested based on a tip off, shortly after the incidence while during Police investigation another suspect was apprehended.
“Presently, the command, through its Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, Eleweran Abeokuta, has two suspects who are close ‘friends’ to Justina,” Adejobi said.
He added: “The forensic investigation and ICT skills adopted by the police in the rescue operation compelled the Armed kidnappers to release the victim unhurt and without ransom.
“The Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali has therefore ordered thorough investigation into the matter and vowed to apprehend all members of the kidnapping gangs who have been terrorising the good people of Ogun State.”
According to the police image maker, Ali commended the relations of the victim for their patience and understanding during the rescue operation.
“Their understanding is highly commendable,” Adejobi quoted the police boss to have said.
