Odetayo, Muslim leader, dies at 71

He is Alfa Abdulfatai Alani Odetayo, who died during an illness.
Odetayo died on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the age of 71.
The deceased, who is an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun State, has been buried according to Islamic rites at Ijoko-Ota.
According to the family, the 8th day Fidau and final burial ceremony would hold on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in Mushin.
He is survived by immediate younger brother, Alhaji Jimoh Alabi Odetayo, a journalist, Chief Femi Shodunke, eldest son, Suleiman Odetayo, eldest daughter, Alhaja Adijat Ladega and their siblings.
Odetayo is also survived by his two wives and many grand-children.
“We shall surely miss his absence in our midst as the head of the family,” Toyin Sodunke, a younger sister said, adding: “But what can we do, as it is the will of Allah to take him away from us at this particular point in time.”
“May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen,” she prayed.
