NIGERIA: THE Ogun State Police Command has warned applicants in the ongoing recruitment exercise to watch out for fake screening officials at the Eleweran Screening Centre, Abeokuta.
The Command, in a statement made available to journalists at the weekend, advised the applicants to also report anyone demanding bribe from them under the guise of offering assistance.
“The Command wishes to warn applicants for the on-going recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force not to pay a dime to any person or officials of the screening board,” the command said in the statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi.
It said: “Applicants are urged to report any individual or official who demands for any bribe or reward, in cash or kind, to the Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali or The Commissioner of Police in charge of the screening exercise CP David Folawiyo or any senior officer of the Nigeria Police Force or Police Service Commission.”
Similarly, the Command has declared that those who have no business around the screening centre should steer clear of the premises so as to avoid any distraction.
The screening exercise, according to the command, has been categorized in two groups and schedules.
It explained that applicants in group A and B, who were screened on Monday, June 6 and Tuesday 7 would report at the command headquarters Eleweran Abeokuta for further directive on or before Thursday, June 23, 2016.
