12 suspected criminals for prosecution in Ogun

NIGERIA: TWELVE suspected criminals would soon be charged to court by the Ogun State Police Command for various crimes, after they have been paraded at the Eleweran police headquarter.
The State Police Commissioner, Abdulmajid Ali, while parading the men, said that the suspects were arrested for various offences, which included armed robbery, possession of prohibited fire arms, cultism, car theft, land grabbing and murder.
The suspects, the commissioner explained, included Sulaiman Lekuti (35), Semiu Alaka (39), Azeez Gbolahan (45), Teslim Adetunji (43), Muhammed Ibrahim (20) and Ogunjirin David (23).
Also in the police net, according to Ali, are Muda Yaya (23), Adebayo Segun (21), Razaq Ogundairo (25), Idowu Tijani (45), Raimi Ogunkunle (25) and Oludayo Adekunle.
Ali stated that some of the exhibits recovered from the suspects included AK47 rifle with serial number 348417 earlier stolen by the robbers, nine rounds of life ammunition, 06 rifle with serial number 07010583, and Automatic Pump Action with serial number 42716.
Others, he added, included locally made cute to size gun, Bajaj Motorcycle with registration number DGB 652 UZ, assorted charms, double barrel pistol, five cutlasses and Toyota Carina Car with number plate, LNB 961.
Ali, who said that the police in the Gateway State would continue to make the state unconducive for criminals and their sponsors, maintained that the suspects were nabbed at their various hideouts.
The police boss stated that after the successful completion of investigations, the suspected criminals would be prosecuted accordingly.
