Two Okada riders rape female passenger

NIGERIA: A 21-YEAR-OLD girl simply identified as Yetunde has been raped in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, by two unidentified commercial motorcyclist operators.
GatewayMail gathered that the incident occurred when the victim was tricked into a bush by the Okada riders in Amolaso area of Abeokuta.
An eyewitness, Mr. Kunle, said that he was on his way home when she heard distress noise of the lady in the nearby bush and on approaching the place he found the suspects raping the girl.
Kunle, who said that he was shocked when he saw that the suspects had overpowered their victim, said he raised the alarm which attracted some other passersby.
He stated that apparently on hearing the alarm and before passersby could approach them, the suspects had fled the scene.
“They took turn on her while in distress she pleads for mercy, but I decided to render help when I noticed, she’s almost dying,” the eyewitness said.
The victim, who was found weak after the rape, was later assisted to a nearby church where she was offered help.
The victim narrated her ordeal to GatewayMail, saying that she was returning from her friend’s birthday party when the commercial motorcyclists tricked her to assist her home.
“I was coming from a friend’s birthday party and I saw the bike man,” she said. “I told him I was without money to pay and he promised to take me to my destination.”
She added: “I agreed and he later picked up his friend at Oke-Ilewo area, claiming that we’re going to the same place Obantoko.
“It was later I found myself in that dreadful place, where I was raped,” the victim said
