The step to make business activities thrive in the complex has started with the construction of over 300 lock-up shops – as first phase –  and regular marketing activities have been scheduled to commence soon.
These efforts were disclosed by the Deputy National President of NACCIMA, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, at a press conference ahead of a trade exhibition for women entrepreneurs in Africa.

The event is expected to hold between December 7 and 16, 2015 at M.K.O Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Abeokuta.
Lawson stated that the proposed exhibition was the initiative of NACCIMA Businesswomen Group in promoting women entrepreneurs in the country.

She further said that the Nigerian Women Entrepreneurs Exhibition (NIWEX) 2015 edition has “Promoting Women Entrepreneurs Through Networking” as its theme.

Lawson said that NACCIMA Businesswoman Group is holding the exhibition in conjunction with ECOWAS Federation of Business Women Entrepreneurs (FEBWE) and the Uplift Development Foundation, founded by the wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Funso Amosun.

According to her, the exhibition would focus on how to synchronise women economic potentials towards enhancing the nation’s economic development.
‪Lawson stressed that the sixth edition of NIWEX, which would promote women in business, would enable the female entrepreneurs necessary opportunities to grow their businesses.

This, she said, would be possible by the women entrepreneurs in exploring available business opportunities made possible by government through its economic diversification moves.
The NACCIMA chief urged the three tiers of government to provide conducive environment for women to venture into entrepreneurial activities “through creation of centres for women entrepreneurial development, skills acquisition, right economic policies, programmes for effective business networking and financial support programmes.”
